DOG CHEWING THROUGH CARPETS?
When a dog chews through carpet to the padding, there are several options we offer to remedy the problem.  Sometimes, a simple stretch job can alleviate the shredded carpet.  However, sometimes it is necessary to replace that piece of carpet with a new piece or a piece taken from the closet.
 
Carpet Stretching in Orange County
If the carpet is shredded for only an inch or so, we usually lift the carpet from the wall and stretch it, cutting the shredded part off, and then tucking it back down onto the tack strip.  If pad replacement is necessary then we will put a new pad underneath the repaired area. 
Method:
1) Lift Carpet,
2) Cut shredded area,
3) Replace Pad,
4) Stretch carpet,
5) Tuck carpet,
6) Clean area.
 
CARPET PATCHING IN Orange County, CA
A carpet patch requires cutting the carpet in a very precise manner. Depending on the size of the cut, this process can take two hours or more, because we make every effort to replace the patch so that it is invisible.  Then, we take a remnant piece of carpet or cut a piece from a closet.  Finally, we place a new seam, or sometimes up to four seams to hold the patch in place.  Not all seams and patches can be invisible, because all carpet is different.  Berber carpet usually shows seams and patches more than a plush carpet.  Carpet that has action backing instead of latex backing is much harder to stretch into place.  Each carpet and repair situation is different and as such, results may vary.  However, our methods are the industry standards and are recommended by all flooring and carpeting contractors.
Method:
1) Remove damaged carpet,
2) Remove underlying padding,
3) Cut remnant or closet carpet to fit the area that will be patched,
4) Place seam tape on padding,
5) Precisely cut each carpet in the hole so that the patch sits perfectly,
6) Use seaming iron to heat the glue in order for the patch to stay,
7) Place patch on heated seam tape,
8) Take extra carpet fibers and fill in the area, one at a time, until it is hidden,
9) Stretch carpet,
10) Use seam blender to make the patch disappear into the carpet.
 
BUCKLED OR WRINKLED CARPET THAT NEEDS TO BE STRETCHED
This is one of our specialties.  We have encountered almost every situation in which carpet needs to be stretched, so rest assured we do this repair work in a timely, professional and expert manner.
 
Carpet Installation in Orange County
A poor installation job often causes carpet to wrinkle after the first year.  If the sides of the wall have carpet that is raised, it is likely to due to a poor installation job.  Unfortunately, installation contracts usually contain clauses that only guarantee an installation for one month.  As such, it is often impossible to get the original installer to come back and reinstall the carpet free of charge. 
 
We have dealt with this problem on many occasions and rest assured, it can be remedied.  Re-stretching carpet can be a big or a little job.  When the installation was poor, often times it requires moving heavy furniture out of the way, so the carpet can be pulled.  Here is our method.
 
Method:
1) Inspect Carpet for proper stretch technique,
2) Remove furniture from room where carpet needs to be stretched, if applicable,
3) Lift carpet from tack strip,
4) Stretch carpet in proper direction,
5) Cut carpet with carpet knife to remove the extra buckled carpet,
6) Tuck carpet back onto tack strips,
7) Clean carpet thoroughly,
8) Press carpet until wrinkle is gone.
 
DISCOLORATION OR BLEACH SPOTS
 
BLEACH STAIN ON CARPET IN Orange County, CA
Unfortunately, bleached carpet can not be remedied except to remove the carpet and replace it.  A bleached area requires a patch as described above.  The process usually takes about an hour depending on the size of the patch to be installed.
Method:
1) Remove Destroyed Carpet with slow precision
2) Cut New carpet to within 1/32 of an inch precision
3) Align and cut seam tape
4) Heat carpet tape with seam iron
5) Carefully install new carpet, making a new seam 1/16 of an inch at a time.
6) Press and cool seam tape for 10 minutes
7) Snip longer fibers to blend
8) Use a  small glue gun to insert any single fibers

WHAT ARE ECO-GREEN Drapery CLEANING PRODUCTS?
Drapery and Rug Institute Green Seal Certification of Approval requires that any product meet the following qualifications:

1) Biodegradable: All of our Drapery cleaning products are fully biodegradable. They do not contaminate the ocean or drinking waters. This is possible because the solvents we used are citrus based dry solvents and do not contain lingering chemical compounds.

2) VOC Compliant: None of our Drapery cleaning products contain kerosene, or other ethanol compounds, harmful to the environment and highly toxic to breathe. In fact, California law prohibits all Drapery Cleaners from using these chemicals and they are not sold in California.

3) Non-Toxic, Non-Irritant, Phosphate and Ethanol-free: For example we use a spot remover/degreaser called Pro-Chem “Citrus-Pro” This product is the Rolls-Royce of safe, non-toxic degreasers that remove grit, grime and sticky traffic lanes. WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STEAM CLEANING and DRY CLEANING?
For the past thirty years, Dry Cleaning was very popular, however that method leaves extraordinary amounts of both dirt and soapy chemical residue in the Draperys, causing the spots to return after a short period of time and sometimes causing harmful skin irritations or toxic fumes.

The reason that Dry-Cleaning methods are no longer recommended is because they do not actually use vacuums, but rather Dry Cleaning (you know the companies) use high speed spinning pads to supposedly “collect” the dirt and soap. However, there is absolutely no extraction of soap OR dirt out of the Drapery, leaving toxic soap and dirt in the Drapery.

BREAK THE VISCOUS CYCLE OF “SPOTS COMING BACK”
Essentially, soap that is left in Draperys attracts new dirt. Therefore, Dry Cleaning or Steam Cleaning without using a LOW pH Rinse, causes the soapy areas, those which were the dirtiest to begin with, to become dirty again in a shorter period of time because there is no soap removal.

In a way, it begins a viscous cycle wherein the “Dry Cleaner” must return every 3 months to keep getting the same dirt back out. In reality, Dry Cleaning simply wipes some dirt off and leaves a lot of soap and dirt behind.

Even steam cleaners, who do not use the LOW pH FIBER RINSE, are not getting all of the soap out of the Drapery and leaving a toxic, irritant and dirt-attracting high pH residue.
